We picked this vine up from the "Beware - invasive!" table at an HPS/MAG plant sale a few years ago, but its behavior in our garden has been tentative - the first couple of years, it barely showed itself; it is now coming into its own, and with some encouragement will climb the Bradford pear tree we so lovingly provided as its support. The floral display, still tentative last year, was more exuberant this year, so we may yet see the full effect of its masses of flowers. The common name hints at its fragrance - I wonder if it will be strong enough for this scent-challenged gardener to notice... Meanwhile, even when it's not blooming, its leaves are quite attractive, and the seedheads extend the interest past blooming.
