One of the early inhabitants of our garden, I'm afraid this ultra-cheerful, steady performer has expired in our garden. I'll be looking to reintroduce it to our garden next season.

Visitors to this page have left the following comments| Eleanor Engelhard | Aug 06, 2008 | How should I be caring for coreopsis grandiflora "early sunrise". Some of the stems seem to be "flopping" down, should I remove these and also should I be removing the "spent" flowers and their stems.
Thank you for your help. Floppiness might be related to not enough sun or overly rich soil. Once they flop, there's not much you can do to salvage their posture - I would cut those stems down. You can deadhead the coreopsis much like any other perennial, although I never bother. |
