We're pleased that our red flowering dogwood, grown from a sprig bought at a local discount nursery, has survived (several before haven't), and is blooming! It's still a small tree (5 ft or so), but we're looking forward to seeing it grow up. Hopefully, the honey locust in its vicinity will provide it with some shade in future years.
| | We've had this little dogwood even longer than the larger one described on this page - but it's seen a good bit of abuse (mostly by rabbits), so that it's still very low by the ground. Nice fall color, though! |
