Slender upright stalks with willowy leaves, and spikes of flowers in May and June. While it spreads itself around by wandering roots, we have found it to be easy to control, and enjoy the few patches that we have established through our garden.

I've been looking all over the place, trying to find some Epilobium angustifolium for sale. I see that you had some at your sale, but obviously I missed the sale.....and I'm in Antioch, California. Any chance of buying some plants or seeds from you through the mail?
Bruce Bruce - glad you liked my site. JL Hudson has the seeds - but you already figured that out. I also have some on my trade/sale list, by the way. |
| Phil Martin | Nov 15, 2005 | you didn't like my comment that i submited on your comment page, i was just joking!!!! |
| Liz | Feb 23, 2006 | I'm from Alaska (transplanted to the LV), and this particular plant looks like a plant we have up there we call fireweed... Do you know if it is the same plant? Yes - that's indeed one of its common names |
| jacque | Jul 09, 2006 | This is a very interesting plant what zone hardy is it? do you have seeds for this to sell this year? Best information I found says zone 4-10 (I updated my page accordingly). I did collect seeds recently. |
| PD Wythe | Jun 13, 2008 | Do you have any germinating information? I have been totally unsuccessful with this species using your baggy method. I added my germination record to this page. I suspect your seed was not viable, since germination should be easy for this species. |
- Seed from JLHudson '02 order. Baggy 70F (40%G, 3-7d)
