But it does self-seed in the garden. Flowers first year from seed sown indoors early. detailed seed-starting info below Seed ripens early October This plant is new to our garden, and hasn't reached its full potential yet. It is supposed to have a fuller, more compact growth habit than the species. So far, it has stayed at 2'.

Although the display isn't impressive, it bloomed tentatively for us in its first year.
