Common name cypress spurge Family euphorbiaceae Life cycle perennial Flowers yellow Size 6-8" Light full sun Cultural notes not fussy New growth emerges in a striking purple mound of velvety foliage in early spring. By the time the yellow flowers appear in mid-spring, the foliage has turned green. Spreads itself around a little bit, but I gladly put up with that.
