I can't find official references to this species, so I don't know about its scientific correctness. In any case, this is really more of a wildflower than a border plant - the yellow flowers are nice enough, but not as showy or prolific as those of the geums in the horticultural trade - and the foliage is a bit coarse. Cool seedheads, though!
