Can't find much information about this one on the web, but my seed trade partner insists it is the correct species name. This is the only bit I could find, at factopia:
LAYIA Calliglossa (Calliglossa). This differs from LAYIA chrysanthemoides principally in having a pappus of usually several (ten to eighteen) unequal, rigid, subulate awns. California. SYN. Oxyura chrysanthemoides (under which name it is figured in B. R. 1850).

- Seed from '04 trade. Baggy 70F (72%G, 2-12d). Selected mostly the darker-gray seeds.
Roots grow quickly once germinated.
