We grew this hardy magnolia from seed a few years ago, but don't really have a place to put it - where do you put a 30-40-foot tree that likes shade on a suburban lot? So for now, it's stuck in a corner between the conifers on the berm and the blackberry bramble patch, where it gets enough shade for the time being. Maybe we'll at least get to see it bloom...

My local garden center no longer stocks it. Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave Dave, I grew my own from seed, and have also seen it at a local native plant sale. For mail order, Forest Farm sells it (click here for details). |
| Alexander Mrkich | Oct 08, 2006 | Thanks for the website. I have seeds - are there any instructions for planting?
Thanks in advance. I started these from seed, but that predates my recordkeeping, so I don't recall just what I did. Probably a short cold treatment, followed by room temperature. |
