We grew this hardy magnolia from seed a few years ago, but don't really have a place to put it - where do you put a 30-40-foot tree that likes shade on a suburban lot? So for now, it's stuck in a corner between the conifers on the berm and the blackberry bramble patch, where it gets enough shade for the time being. Maybe we'll at least get to see it bloom...

I started these from seed, but that predates my recordkeeping, so I don't recall just what I did. Probably a short cold treatment, followed by room temperature. |
