Common name smooth phlox Family polemoniaceae Life cycle perennial (Z3-8) Flowers pink (June) Size 2-3' Light full sun-part shade Cultural notes prefers rich, moist but well-drained soil I had this early-blooming phlox in my garden a few years, and it was one of my favorites. It didn't come back one spring, so I'm glad to have purchased a couple new plants last year. And sure enough, the flowers didn't fail to please!
