Variegated relative of the common weed (see Plantago major). Even though I don't think it's quite gardenworthy enough to officially preserve, I allow some seedlings to grow where they don't get in the way. The one pictured above, by pure serendipity, grew right in front of the variegated horseradish - a spontaneous case of David and Goliath. Through self-sowing, plants with different variegation patterns have established themselves. The one at right may have cross-bred with the 'Ki Fu' variety, whose markings are more in the yellow range.
