Common name ghost bramble Family rosaceae Life cycle shrub (Z6-9) Flowers purple Size 5-6' Light sun-light shade Ferny gray-green foliage on stems covered in silver bloom. I first saw this plant on a tour of a friend's garden. After I expressed my admiration of the unusual specimen, she surprised me with a division. I haven't yet seen the small purplish flowers. Two years later, the plant is finally coming into its own, with strong upright growth in spring. I'm still hoping to reproduce the marvellous show from that tour!
