Seed ripensmid-July

Taprooted perennial with flowers in spikes starting in June. Aromatic gray-green foliage. Since first starting it several years ago, it has proliferated in our front lane garden, where seedlings pop up all over the place - which has resulted in a forest of sage, shown above.
