Upright plant with pretty flowers, soft pink in our garden. Wants to spread around a bit by root runners, but isn't difficult to remove from places where it's not welcome. This year ours surprised us with a bountiful rebloom in late summer.

I now know the identity of my friend's flowers, whom she has always called "ragged sailor", as past on to her from her mother. Is it possible to gather seeds as the plant dies and plant in the fall or spring? I'd appreciate your help in this matter.
I've not been able to collect seed from this plant. However, it spreads vigorously by its roots, so you should be able to get a division; I'd try doing that in early to mid-spring. |
