Common name lizard's tail Family saururaceae Life cycle perennial Flowers white (summer) Size 12-24" Light Cultural notes marginal aquatic (water 4-8" deep) Heart-shaped leaves, fragrant white drooping flower spikes. This was part of the plant package we got with our filtration bog, but I thought it had perished in its first winter, when the bog was dry due to a leak. Surprise! Nearly two years later, all of a sudden there it is, in bloom with lush foliage - a bit hidden in between all the other plantings in the bog, but definitely exerting itself with the curvy flowers and mid-green, shapely leaves.
