The only coleus we've grown in recent years, this one has wonderful dark-purple large velvety leaves. If we had more shady garden areas, I'd try more different varieties, but if it has to be just one kind, it may as well be this one.
This year, we're growing it from seed collected from our own plants. Since it's the only coleus in our garden, I have some hope it will produce offspring with similar coloring.

Not sure if this comes true from open-pollinated seeds. Young plants are very frost-tender - don't put out until all danger of frost is over.
