Not sure if it's supposed to be hardy here, but my seedlings from 2003 are still alive, having made it through at least two winters with sub-zero (°F) temperatures. On the other hand, after five years, my main specimen is still small.

Visitors to this page have left the following comments| Elaine Nichols | Oct 28, 2008 | I would like to purchase several Eve's necklace trees to plant on my property in the Texas Hill Country Soutwest of San Antonio. How can I find a nursery that sells these trees. Thank you. I strongly recommend finding a local source (in which case I'm no help). If that fails, you can look through the various plant shopping categories in the Open Directory Project for some online sources. |
- Seed from '02 trade. Knife-nicked. Baggy 75F (extended germination, re-nicked several times, overall 40%G)
- Same seed as above. Knife-nicked, soaked overnight. Baggy 75F (60%G, 9-24d)
Really cutting into the seedcoat helps germination, as do somewhat higher than room temperatures.
