Smooth, somewhat rounded leaves which narrow to a point. The pale flowers have tiny purple spots and are borne in open cymes from the ends of the stems
Early fall bloom, with flowers that look like two-story pagodas. The plant has much less height and bulk than Tricyrtis hirta, so it needs a position close to the border's edge. We grow two varieties, with very different coloration and flower shape - not sure if they are both the true species, although both types are featured on the web under this name.
