Upright native plant, with lots of purple flowers late in the season. Although the common name seems to be "tall ironweed", it doesn't grow nearly as tall as New York ironweed. I transplanted a row of these in their second year, which set them back a bit, but they still bloomed. My camera missed the height of their bloom, hence the lackluster pre-bloom picture on this page. A better update will follow next year.
