Hybrid between leatherleaf viburnum (V. rhytidophyllum) and service viburnum (V. utile) with handsome glossy dark-green leaves. Ours was just a rooted twig when we bought it a number of years ago, and took a while to come into its own. But by now, it has blossomed into a fair-size shrub, and blooms reliably every year. The buds are pink-tinged, the flowers open a pure white, fading to cream after a few days.
