Not much information to be had on this one. Apparently it hails from Yunnan, China and looks quite similar to Dicentra macrocapnos. We hope to find out for ourselves.
In our first attempt, years ago, they didn't survive long enough to find a place in the garden. I don't remember if they succumbed to sunscald, cold, or drought. Trying again this year...

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.

Seed-starting details for this plant

  1. Seed from '04 trade. Kept seed in refrigerator between Nov and Jan. Baggy 35F (4w) - 65F (90%G, 2-6d)
  2. Seed from HPS/MAG '13/'14 exchange. Baggy 35F (27d) - 70F (9%G, 5d)
  3. Same seed as above, cold-stored. Baggy 35F (30d) - 70F (32%G, 3-6d)
