Attractive glossy thistly foliage, flower spikes late spring-summer. I've found this plant to be somewhat finicky about its placement - it's been killed off both by too soggy and by too dry conditions. Our main stand, in the cushy side garden, has been relatively steady though.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...
