Forms a nearly spherical body ridged with vertical rows of spines. Showy flowers. Horticulturally mostly a pot specimen, from what I can tell, but I'll try to grow ours outdoors. A fool's errand in our steamy, winter-wet Gulf Coast climate, for sure, but I can try, can't I?
