Plenty of purple flowers just when the garden really gets in gear in mid-spring, followed by silvery papery coin-shaped seedpods. Biennial: new plants grow in fall from seeds dropped in summer, and flower the following spring.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
