Compact agave whose tight formation of silver-thread-edged leaves, often with white markings, doesn't exceed a height of six inches. The flower stalk, when it finally decides to bloom at an age of 5-10 years, may zoom to five or six feet tall, and carries plantlets that may be used to propagate the plant. Native to Arizona.
