From tufts of foliage spring typical allium umbels of pink flowers. The glaucum subspecies has cool swirled leaves with elegantly rounded tips, which makes them look quite handsome indeed when mature plants attain a dense growth habit (which takes several years to attain, after starting from seed). One of my favorite alliums, in recent years.
