Forms a low mound, whose wiry stems hold both silver-grey leaflets and spines. Small flowers appear in clusters, and reportedly smell of honey. Sounds like it will be difficult to keep alive, requiring sharp drainage in winter.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...
