ordinary garden soil. drought-tolerant, deer-resistant. |
Small-leafed mounding plant, with pearly-white button flowers in mid-late summer (the ones with the yellow center are the male flowers). Ours hasn't gotten nearly as large as the references would say (to 3'), by its third season in our garden. Is reputed to attract butterflies, although we haven't seen evidence of this just yet. Also makes a good cutflower for drying, if flowers are cut just before they mature.
