Annual herb with a sweet fragrance and ferny foliage. We first grew ours many years ago from purchased seed, and were happy to have it in the garden – but we didn't have an actual use for it (I'm not much of a potpourri guy). So I haven't grown it purposely since those early days, but it has popped up in various places in the garden ever since. Even though I include it on my "weeds" page, I don't consider it troublesome. It's not too prolific, and easy enough to pull up where it's not welcome. Every once in a while, I'll overlook the rapid growth of one until it's really tall, like the one in the picture here.
