Asphodeline damascena

Family asphodelaceae
Life cycle perennial
Flowers white
Light sun

Clump of blue-green grassy foliage, with a stiffly upright flower spike featuring several tiers of white spidery flowers. Looks striking in photos I've found, so I hope I can grow our seedlings to maturity.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...

Seed-starting details for this plant

  1. Seed from NARGS '19/'20 exchange. Baggy 70F (52%G, 6-32d)

A few germinated late after rubbing the angular seeds together, so scarification may be helpful. I did not attempt cold treatment, which is helpful for other species of asphodeline.
