Rosette of grassy leaves, with a flower stalk to 3' tall. I didn't realize until after I started the seeds for the second time that this species is quite unlikely to survive our zone 6 winters - which would explain why there are no survivors from my first attempt. Still, a few plants from that second attempt survived, and bloomed in our front Lane garden.

Apparently doesn't need cold, just extended germination time at room temperature.
