Begonia x bertinii 'Skaugum'

Family begoniaceae
Life cycle tender perennial
Flowers red (summer)
Size 6-12"
Light sun-shade

Cultivar with glossy deep-green leaves and pendulous red flowers. We're growing ours from seed, not sure to what extent it will come true.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...

Seed-starting details for this plant

  1. Seed from '09 trade. Baggy 70F (33%G, 8-15d)

Seedlings are tiny. Though I started mine in a baggy, direct-sowing to a pot or pack is probably better.
