Brodiaea elegans

Brodiaea elegans
Second-year bulbs, from plants overwintered in their seedling pot

Common name elegant cluster-lily
Family asparagaceae
Life cycle perennial
Flowers purple-blue (spring-summer)
Size 20"
Light part shade

Bulb native to California and Oregon, with blue flowers held on whispy stems that appreciate support from surrounding plants. I suspect that Texas won't be to its liking, but am trying to grow them from seed nonetheless.

In our garden, this plant grows in the following areas: front fence nursery area, left fence nursery area
