Succulent plant native to Chile. Flowers rise on delicate stems over a mound of gray-green leaves. Tender perennial, sometimes grown as an annual - ours started flowering in late May, from an indoor start in late winter. References conflict on whether Calandrinia or Cistanthe is the proper genus for this plant.
