Campanula cochlearifolia

Campanula cochlearifolia

Synonym(s) Campanula bellardii, pumila, and pusilla
Common name fairy's thimbles
Family campanulaceae
Life cycle perennial
Flowers blue (late spring-summer)
Size 4"
Light sun-part shade

Dwarf bellflower from the alps. Not fussy, spreads to form a mat of slightly serrated small green leaves (cute as a button in early spring). Flowers arrive in the second half of June in our garden.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
