Managed to raise just a single plant from seed last year, but it was worth the effort. In its second season, it first set a large number of interestingly shaped buds, that proceeded to open just about all at the same time, to reveal cup-shaped powder-blue flowers. According to online sources, it is monocarpic - which would mean it won't return next year. But those same sources also rate it hardy only to zone 8, whereas ours survived a zone 6 winter. So I'll split the risk - I'll collect some seed later this year, and mulch to try to get it through winter again.
