African tropical that wants to be a multi-stemmed shrub. We'll see if our Houston winters will allow ours to reach that goal. If it does, we look forward to its large fuchsia flowers accented with yellow stamens. Alas, we chose the wrong time to plant – within months, it was hit by the severest freeze registered in Texas in many decades, and it did not survive.
