Of the clarkias we've grown, this is the whispiest, least upright-growing species. Soft-lavender flowers, large in comparison to the overall scale of the plant. Like other clarkias, this is not an everblooming annual - it does its thing in early summer, then quietly fades away. I wish they self-seeded in our garden - the flowers are great while they last, but starting them from seed indoors every year gets to be a lot of work for the short season of bloom.
