Clematis x jouiniana 'Praecox'

Family ranunculaceae
Life cycle perennial (Z4-8)
Flowers white (summer)
Size rambler to 10'
Light sun-part shade

Hybrid of C. heraclefolia 'Davidiana' and C. vitalba. It has a semi-climbing habit, and will either sprawl along the ground or grow to 3' tall as a sub-shrub. The flowers have strap-shaped sepals, creamy-white inside and light lavender at the tips and on the outside. Yellow fall foliage.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
