Herbaceous perennial vine. The nodding bell-shaped flowers are pale green on the outside, with chocolate purple shading on the inside bottom, and violet spotting higher up inside. Our largest one is growing into the pear tree in our orchard, and is flowering in its second year.

Photos often give no idea of the size of a plant or its flowers. I'd love to see something in the photos of more unusual plants (ones not familiar to most) that shows its comparable size - perhaps a hand or ruler? Or perhaps the size of the plant, leaves, or flowers included in the descriptions? |

The additional cold treatment did not increase germination. Not sure why recent germination attempts have had low yield. Some self-seeding occurs in our garden.
