Backlit by morning sun, the leaves show their intricate vein patterns Common name elephant's ear Family araceae Life cycle tender perennial (Z7b) Size 4-6' Light sun-part shade Cultural notes moist soil Majestic aroid grown for its large dark ruffled leaves. It's not hardy here, so I'll be trying to overwinter it indoors. In the warm season, it lives in a large pot set in our pond's bog filtration zone.
