Slow-growing tree. We rescued this from a local discount nursery as a nearly-dead stick a few years ago. It's only grown a little bit since then, but it seems to be picking up steam. No flowers so far, but the fall foliage makes up for that.
Three years have passed since I wrote the paragraph above, and due to rabbit browsing the tree still hasn't grown much - but I'm now wielding a wire cage to protect the little gal, and have good hope for future years.
Another two years later, and finally there are flowers. Well worth waiting for - and I'm expecting the show to get better in the next several years!
