Three years after starting from seed, the single surviving plant is finally in bloom. The shrub is still small, and hardly impressive - but its first flowers give enough of a taste of what it might look like a few years from now. That's assuming we keep it alive - its current location, on the hillside behind our waterfall, hardly meets its requirement of moist soil throughout summer - but so far, so good.
