This page is for a green-leaved crinum I picked up at a plant swap in spring of 2022. I set it in the foundation border along our home's east wall, where it gets sun until early afternoon. Despite those seemingly favorable conditions, our plant was hesitant to bloom, sending up only its broad strappy leaves up in the following two years. Finally, in June of 2025, it suddenly sent up a flower stalk, which proceeded to produce trumpet-shade, pale pink blooms just days later. The plant has by now grown to a significant size, so I'm curious to see if it will increase its floral display in years to come.
