Porcupine hemisphere of narrow blue-green leaves edged in small spines. Native to Mexico and the southwestern US. The hardiness range noted above is for the more southern/lower-elevation populations – the 'Guadalupe' strain is reportedly quite a bit hardier.

We're just trying this plant for the first time this year; it
hasn't found a permanent place in our gardens yet.
