For all the complaints about delphiniums not liking our hot humid summers, our patch does marvellously. Grown from seed several years ago, a few new seedlings volunteer every spring, and replace the ones that die of old age or adverse conditions. In our side garden they morning sun, and shade by mid-afternoon).

| The 'Gletscherwasser' cultivar (seed-grown, so maybe not quite true) has light blue flowers; I've seen it referred to as one of the Pacific hybrids.
| This one, with deeper-blue, more sparsely spaced flowers with prominent bees, is the first one to bloom in our garden.
