Delphinium oreophilum

Family ranunculaceae
Life cycle perennial
Flowers blue (late spring-early summer)
Size 16-20"

Fairly large-flowered larkspur species. From the little I've found out about this species, it sounds like it's a difficult one to grow successfully. Sure enough, my seedlings perished – I don't know if it was our hot dry summer or the subsequent winter that did them in.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...
