Upright US wildflower in the ubiquitous pea family. Its rangy habit probably renders it not so gardenworthy, but we're giving it a spin for a year or two. Although most of our plants bloomed in late summer in the year they were sowed, I don't expect to see its true form until next year.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...

Seed-starting details for this plant

  1. Seed from '05 trade. Baggy 35F - 70F. Lost details, but no germination
  2. Seed from '05 trade. Pot outside Nov 25. Germination started early May, total of 67%G by late May
  3. Seed from '07 garden. Sandpapered, soaked 2d. 33% germinated while soaking, total 100%G in 12d
