This hybrid deutzia came to our garden in fall 2002, and has since established itself as one of the best flowering shrubs in our garden - I'm surprised deutzia isn't as well known as forsythia, lilac, or weigela. As we like ours quite a bit, I think we'll be trying some other cultivars. Its flowers have become more abundant with the years, and are worth inspecting up close as well as in mass from a distance.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. One or more images of this plant are included in my stock photo catalog About my plant portraits
