Supposed to be taller than most pinks in our garden. We've grown two varieties of this in recent years - the first was named 'Crimsonia' - an attractive red-and-white bicolor with frilly petals. Although it bloomed in its first year, it stayed small - and did not return the following year. Just this past year, we tried D. superbus var. longicalycinus. These grew more robustly, and burst into flower by August, with fine-frilly pink flowers opening from slender tubular buds.
